Description

Game Name?
Jimmy Neutron Attack of the Twonkies

Game ID?
GJYE78

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
There is a graphical glitch. A right angle follows me on the ground. See the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTc4ymhU4E8

Here is a save state: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iopzkatvldbdi0x/glitch.sav

What did you expect to happen instead?
No right angle following me.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start game
  2. Progress until you have control of the game (or load save state)

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-4800

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
I have not tried older versions.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
HP ZBook 15, Windows 8.1, NVIDIA Quadro K1100M, Intel i7 4700MQ 2.40 GHz

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

If I change the internal resolution the issue stops and the only way to make it happen again is to uncheck and recheck "Ignore Format Changes".

What happens when you keep "Ignore Format Changes" unchecked? It may very well be that format changes are necessary for this game.

I can't get the issue to happen with the box unchecked. So maybe a gameini update is needed.

Tried to figure out what is going on, it seems that opengl works fine and this is a d3d only issue using latest dev with any ir higher than 1x. Format changes just makes the shadow angle to be more transparent and it doesn't eliminate it, only 1x ir or opengl does.

I agree that the issue happens on IRs greater than 1x. But actually, I have been using opengl the whole time. For me, the issue happens with both opengl and direct3d.

Not sure what to put for this for now. I don't have the game to confirm, but, a some games can't be run at higher than 1x IR (Sonic Heroes, with exceptions of 2.5x and 3x IR by luck) and there's nothing that can really be done about it.

A fifolog would be helpful.

Not at a main menu or cutscene please. Somewhere ingame.
(I think fifologs in these cases are a little more difficult to understand since the values like height are harder to judge)

Here is a fifolog. Please tell me if you need anything else.

Does EFB2RAM affect the glitch? It looks like the game is using EFB copies to draw shadows, and something isn't getting invalidated correctly. (I can't really say much more from the dff itself: the glitch shows up in the first frame of the dff, then fixes itself.)

I did some testing.

EFB to RAM: problem still occurs.
Disable EFB copies: problem is fixed.
Uncheck scaled EFB copy: problem is fixed.

Also, I just realized I linked the wrong youtube video in the issue report. Here is the correct link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10naeoKbkQw

Oh, umm, I wasn't understanding the issue correctly. That's a bit more clear.

This is almost identical to issue 267: it's drawing a rectangle to clear the top left corner of the screen, except that it isn't exactly the top left corner of the screen at IR greater than 1x. Not sure what we can do here; if turning off scaled EFB copies works, maybe we can force them off in the INI. (Or if someone were really interested, it might be possible to come up with a cheat code to fix the vertex coordinates.)

  • Status changed from New to Won't fix

This issue does not happen with 1x IR or Scaled EFB Copies fixed. It's the same as Shadow The Hedgehog/Sonic Heroes. I'm closing this issue because it is probably never going to be fixed without some kind of advanced cheat code.
