Description

Game Name?
Project Zero 2

Game ID?

SL2P01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
If you load Project Zero 2 from a savestate, the nunchuck will act a little odd - that is, your character will run nonstop in some direction. Now, this happens in most games that I've tested. but in all the others, unplugging the nunchuck and plugging it back in fixes it. In this one, it freezes the game.
Instead of prompting you to plug it back in, the game just locks up. Note that this only happens when loading a savestate.

What did you expect to happen instead?
To be prompted to plug my nunchuck back in.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Play Project Zero 2. Create a savestate.
  2. Close and reopen Dolphin. Load the save state.
  3. (Note: your nunchuck might be acting up here, but it's somewhat unrelated - most games have the nunchuck act strangely after loading a savestate, but this is the only one that then freezes if you unplug it).
  4. Unplug nunchuck and watch the game freeze.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

4.0-5222

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
No working older version that I am aware of.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)

Also note that plugging the nunchuck back in doesn't help.
And the "close and reopen" step might not be needed.

Er, sorry, the closing and reopening part actually IS important for reproducing the error.

Well, what happens with emulated Wiimotes?

I haven't tested...to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to setup the emulated Wiimote. ;

Is there even a way to emulate unplugging the nunchuck?

Yeah; you just connect/disconnect attachment in the emulated Wiimote menu.

Alright, I can try that as soon as I figure out how to use the emulated wiimote.

Scratch that. I didn't need to bind all the buttons, just enough for testing.
Results: With an emulated wiimote, it instantly switches from "nunchuck" to "no attachment" the instant I load a savestate. After that, the freeze happens a little under 50% of the time. The rest of the time it asks you to plug the nunchuck back in.
