Netplay is broken on Linux (extremely slow, even the chat messages lag)

Description

Something has gone wrong with netplay on Linux; it's barely usable because it runs at less than 1 fps! Anyone one Linux can host a netplay session or join one, but sending messages results in a massive 1 second lag where Dolphin is non-responsive. It seems as though the game itself has the same massive lags during gameplay.

You can use any game, I've tested this on multiple PCs, but I don't know what's going wrong yet. If anyone else who uses Linux more regularly could look into this, I'd be thankful.

Ziek's Traversal Server merge did break it according to users I've talked to on smashladder.

It has something to do with a controller being connected and sending information/input, as Linux can spectate fine.
