Game Name? ALL

Game ID? ALL

Mouse disappears when in full screen mode. Close to impossible to get it back. This is not normal OS X behaviour.

What did you expect to happen instead?

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1.Play in full screen mode....
2.
3.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

ALL

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?

NO

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)

iMac 27" Core i7, 3.4Mhz, 32Go RAM

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

There is not nearly enough information in this issue report to do anything. Bugging two people on macs to try stuff.

What type of information do you need?

iMac 27" Core i7, 3.4Mhz, 32Go RAM Yosemite 10.10.2

All games do that. So it is not a problem with games. It's the way Dolphin behaves. And this is not a normal OS X app behavior. What else can I say...
The mouse just disappears, and I can't get it back to use the menu or do anything. All I can do is hit the ESC key. No other OS X application does that when in full screen mode.

The Graphics menu (at least on Windows-it should be the same on OS X) has an option to show or hide the mouse cursor.

This has been pissing me off for months, actually.

The mouse disappears completely when a game's running in full-screen, and getting it to show itself requires that you move it to the top of the screen to show the menubar and blindly click up there. This is without Hide Mouse Cursor or Render to Main Window checked.

Yes, that is exactly it !! This a more precise explanation than the one I gave. But this is it.
And I don't have the "hide Mouse Cursor" option checked either.

This option hides the mouse cursor altogether, even in non-fullscreen mode. This is not what we're talking about here.

Something is definitely wrong with this behavior in full screen mode. And it is very annoying.

I hope you do have enough information now.

Is someone looking into this?

Apparently not. Very sad ...

I get exactly the opposite issue with 'Hide Mouse Cursor' checked. I'll be able to see it in the render window, and after clicking it'll disappear for an instant and come strait back on screen again. The only way to get rid of it is to move it out of the way.

Well, that tells me something is definitely wrong here. Either way, it needs attention.

OS X normal behavior is not that in full screen mode.
You should be able to conceal the mouse when this button is checked, but retrieve it as soon as you move the cursor. And full screen should be activated by clicking the green button. As on any OS X app.

That is what I would expect.

Really? Nobody is looking into this?? Really?

Don't expect a solution so quickly. As annoying as it is, we don't have nearly enough OS X-using developers to strongarm into investigating a mostly-harmless (if incredibly annoying) UI bug like this.

Need I repeat the whole part where these developers are doing this in their spare time? v_v;

Okay.

i didn't know developers did this in their spare time. Sorry.

I just hope someone will look into this, as it is VERY annoying indeed.

Cheers.

4.0-6165 has not fixed this issue for me. With 'Hide Mouse Cursor' unchecked, the cursor is always visible (expected behaviour). With 'Hide Mouse Cursor' checked, and dolphin not in fullscreen, the cursor is hidden when placed over the render window. (expected behaviour) The issue appears when 'Hide Mouse Cursor' is checked, and Dolphin is in fullscreen, as the mouse will only hide for a few seconds after being clicked, then immediately reappear. (it should say hidden) Note: I have 'Render to Main Window' unchecked, as it's default.

I can't seem to replicate the behaviour you are describing. With Hide Mouse Cursor checked, the cursor stays hidden all the time for me, including in fullscreen. Is there anything unusual about your setup (secondary display?).

In any case, 4.0-6165 indeed fixes issue 8376 (Show the cursor in os x fullscreen by default), the problem you are describing is a different one, if you have a look at the issue summary on the top of this page.
