Emulator Issues #8391
openAdd Input Methods to Game List
0%
Description
Add a column to the Game List that shows the input methods supported by the game. This could be represented by icons similar to those on the back on the box of Nintendo games.
It would also be useful to have the ability to sort by input method. For instance if I wanted to see all the games I could play with a gamecube controller natively. (I don't know how you would sort games with many different input methods.)
Preferable this would be implemented the same way as platforms and regions under the view tab. This would allow you to hide games in the games list that you don't have a controller for.

There is no way to pull this information from the game. The wiki has it, and that's probably a better place for that information anyway.

Don't you already pull information from the wiki for compatibility rating?

The compatibility ratings are actually stored in .ini files. Though we do periodically update the ratings based on information from the wiki.
If we were going to do this, the best way would probably be to pull information from GameTDB's database, since they already have that information in a publicly accessible xml file.

Got it. It's probably more trouble than it's worth to implement it.

Stevo: The compatibility ratings in those INI files are pulled from the wiki.
