Emulator Issues #8469
closedDolphin conflicting with window managers on Linux
0%
Description
Game Name? Problem is not game specific
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Dolphin seems to interfere with my window managers on Linux (I tried both openbox and awesome). Whenever Dolphin is open, I cannot click on my window manager panels or access my application menu. It seems to affect the mouse only. I can still control my window manager with keyboard shortcuts.
What did you expect to happen instead?
Dolphin should not prevent me from right clicking on my desktop, or clicking on my window manager panel.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start X with a window manager such as openbox
- Run Dolphin
- Try using the mouse to open openbox's application menu
- Try using the mouse to do anything openbox specific.
- Notice how the mouse doesn't respond to anything except for the dolphin window, even when dolphin isn't maximized/fullscreen.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-6006
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Yes. Dolphin 4.0.2 does not exhibit these symptoms.
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Arch Linux.
AMD FX-8350
Nvidia GTX 660

Is this still an issue? We've switched from WxWidgets to Qt since then.
