Description
Game Name?
Animal Crossing
Game ID?
Not Sure
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
The game doesn't recognize any commands from the keyboard. I have all four ports set to standard controller. Particularly I can't get by the start screen because the game doesn't recognize when I hit "return" (start). Not sure if this is also relevant but I can't access the game through the dolphin library. I have to open the game file itself and then it is automatically run through dolphin.
What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the "return" button to act as the start button and the game to start.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open the game file
- Wait for the press start button to appear
- Press enter/return (nothing happens)
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
Dolphin 4.0-6268
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
I did not try an older version of Dolphin.
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Macbook Pro with Retina, OS X, 10.9.5
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
No

This is a configuration issue, not an issue with Dolphin itself. Ask on the forums next time. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/
As for your actual two issues:
a) Go to Controllers > Configure on Port 1 and set "Device" to something that begins with Keyboard/0/.
b) Add the folder you keep all your games in in Config > Paths > ISO Directories.
Knowing how to experiment with configuration when things break is a basic skill everyone should have when using computers, and especially emulators in particular. Please learn it. v_v;
