What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Every time I exit on 6554 when in exclusive fullscreen it won't exit and it leaves a black screen causing me to be unable to use anything afterwards. I'm forced to log off and log back in to close Dolphin
What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected it to exit like normal, but it won't and leaves a black screen
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start any game
2.Exit the game anytime
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-6554
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Yes; 4.0-652 and 4.0-5886
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Windows 8.1 64 Bit
Intel G3258
Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 TI

Yes, and it doesn't crash with OpenGL. However, I'd prefer to use exclusive fullscreen.

This is probably a duplicate of https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=8518
It's a known issue. For now either use OpenGL, borderless fullscreen, or windowed mode if you don't want to deal with the freezes.
