Description
Game Name?
Mega Man Network Transmission
Game ID?
GREE08
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
The game crashes partway through Arcade Comp 2, when you reach the part with the bouncy balls. Any attempt to go to the up-right results in an exception and crash.
The exception reads:
IntCPU: Unknown Instruction 02d41400 at PC = 80650010 last_PC = 80001f18 LR = 801c9884.
Other exceptions are thrown after hitting yes, eventually leading to a hard crash of Dolphin. The crash also occurs when attempting to Jack Out of the area, which is probably easier to reproduce with.
This occurred with all three backends (Recompiler, JITIL, Interpreter) and both D3D11 and OpenGL.
What did you expect to happen instead?
No Crash
What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
- Play game until Arcade Comp - Area 2
- Jack Out
- Observe Crash

known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
The game worked fine in the past as reported by others as far back as the 3.0 days.

I was playing with cheats enabled. I made a manual save, reloaded after exiting Dolphin, and the problem remained, so I don't think it's a cheat issue...
I do have a save right before the area in question, if anyone needs it.

Disregard; one of the cheats was doing it. Reloading the save with cheats disabled allowed me to advance. Odd it only showed up in that one area...

For those interested: it's the Max Zenny AR code causing the problem.
I thought I tested with Cheats turned off before I wrote the report up; is there a reason why you can't enable/disable cheats in game? I had to change them from the game properties outside of the game for them to stick. ShakesFist

Thanks, this explains an old issue on the tracker I was never able to reproduce, so I'm still glad you reported it.
