Could you please be more specific with providing the settings and circumstances in which thos is happening? Is this with OGL or D3D? What intel HD do you have and which driver version? Have you tried different options in Dolphin, such as EFB to texture only on/off, os real XFB on or off?

You mention this happening on Intel gpu in the title, but I would not blame Intel's drivers, until other stuff is checked.

Safe Texture Cache fixes the missing text issues.

I'm having the same using D3D on my AMD Radeon HD7790. I did not look into this yet, could be an easy fix like enabling efb2ram or safe texture cache accuracy.

It is a safe texture cache thing, sonic the fighters intro runs like sh@# if you use the safest setting, perhaps an intermediate value will do the job. I knew about it but the speed hit made me use the medium value in the ini in the past, i should search for something between.

4096 is pretty safe for anything i'd say. The texture cache has gotten more and more complex, but maybe it's worth to write a test program that tells us which the lowest setting without issues is. (without issues == same hash check results as with safe accuracy)

On second thought that game seems problematic in general (it won't run in proper speed even with the fast setting, it is just better). Might as well default to safe and forget about Sonic the Fighters, something else is wrong with that game and it runs horribly.

I'm working on the sonic fighters performance regression, i caused it afterall.

Oh right, it seems it worked fine in 4.0.2 with the medium value but not anymore. I wonder if i should wait for a fix before changing the value just to fine tune it if possible.

It's working in latest master for me as long as I don't open the graphics options. So, we'll see what happens with the fix.
