Description

The DSP icon served a purpose once. Back during the 2.0 and 3.0 era, when DSP HLE was awful, you had to switch between DSP HLE and DSP LLE all the time! Having a shortcut for it right in the toolbar made sense! But now, with new-ax-hle perfect, and zelda-hle good enough and new-zelda-hle inevitable?

The DSP settings are still in the config tab, so the button on the toolbar is nothing more than a shortcut. It saves two clicks. The Config, Graphics, and Controllers icons lead to isolated configuration segments, so it makes logical sense for them to be in the toolbar. But the DSP icon throws that off, and now that we never really need to access the DSP tab, all it does is add clutter to the toolbar and obfuscate Dolphin's configuration arrangement. I think it's time for it to go.

Correction: it saves one click. I forgot to include the one click to open the DSP tab with the toolbar shortcut!

Meanwhile, do you think it's alright to add new button for Hotkey settings? It's used quite a bit (at least for me personally) unlike Audio. Should I make an issue (enhancement) report for it?

Why would you access hotkey settings a lot? Isn't the goal of the hotkey settings be to set up a configuration that works for you and then leave it?

I guess the ideal option would be to allow the user to change the toolbar to add whatever they use a lot, but not only would that require me to make a lot of icons for obscure concepts, I think that isn't possible with wx...

Because I can append hotkeys not only to keyboard but also to controllers. There are many hotkeys including several new ones.

I found myself visiting there quite frequently at the start and eventually settled down after I've got it just what I've wanted, but I still go there for setting up on secondary devices and/or review hotkeys especially on different Dolphin profiles.
