Game Name?
Metroid Prime Trilogy (PAL)

Game ID?
R3MP01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Scan visor is broken in MP-2 and MP-3. It is unable to scan many objects in the game. I press the 'Z' button to scan but the scan visor simply does not scan the object. This problem occurs with Direct3D video backend only.

What did you expect to happen instead?
Scan Visor scans all objects properly and hence making the game playable on Direct3D Backend. The scan visor works fine on OpenGL video backend but its too slow.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
1.Playing The Game on Direct3D Video Backend
2.Scanning an object. (preferably large size as the bigger ones don't usually scan) You will see what I mean if you try scanning Samus's Gunship
3.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
Dolphin's latest release candidate Dolphin 5.0 rc-5

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Yes, Versions of dolphin older than r-6422 work fine with the scan visor in Direct3D backend. Versions r-6422 and newer have the problem. The issue seems to be caused because of "Direct3D Depth Range Inversion" introduced in 6422. This causes the scan visor to break in MP2 and MP3 when playing using Direct3D backend

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Intel Core i7 4710HQ (3.5 GHz)
NVidia GeForce GTX 860M (4GB)
8GB RAM
Windows 8.1 / Windows 10

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
