Description
Game Name?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time NTSC-J
Game ID?
NACJ(01)
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
When I use turbo to go through the opening cutscene and mash A and B, after 30-40 seconds, the game hangs and just won't resume, while staying at 0 FPS and 60 VPS.
What did you expect to happen instead?
Is this question mandatory? -_-'
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start a new game
- Try to get through the opening cutscene
- Crash.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-7209
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Also tried on 4.0-4877
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Windows 10 (might be the cause of the problem)
i7-4790
16 GB DDR3
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB (ASUS)
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
Nope, except the fact that I tried with JIT/JITIL same problem, I think it's also happening with Zelda: TP (GCN) though I'm not sure.

Try using single core. If you turbo on dualcore in a game that doesn't have idleskip, the GPU and CPU thread can fly far apart, making it very likely for a crash.

Ok so I tried with either Dual Core/Idle Skip, Single Core/Idle Skip, Dual Core/No Idle Skip and Single Core/No Idle Skip, they are all making the game hang in turbo.
By the way, I also tried to play without turbo for during opening cutscene and the game still crashed.
The funny thing is that it's not crashing at a specifical moment, it's random.

Try increasing the CPU Clock Override in Dolphin's Options/Configure/Advanced. There is already an issue for it hanging on the default CPU Clock.

@JMC4789
I tried again after increasing the CPU Clock Override to 150% but it still crashes, a bit later though, I'd say 20 secs later. Plus I'm not sure it's a long term solution to play with the CPU Clock Override.
