Game Name?
Super Mario Sunshine
Game ID?
GMSP01
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
The game's fps reduces by half in 5.0-rc-17 on both backends and by ~20% on 4.0-7345's OGL when subtitles appear if the ini option PerfQueriesEnable boolean value is true in video settings.
What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the cinematic to stay full speed just like it does in the American version of the game
What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
1.Change backend to OpenGL or Software if it's Direct3D
2.Open your PAL Super Mario Sunshine
3.Change Subtitles to ON if they are off
4.Wait for the intro's first dialogue and look at game speed drop
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
Dolphin 5.0-rc-17 and 4.0-7345.
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Dolphin 3.5-1779
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Windows 10 64-bit, i5-4690K @ 3.50GHz, GTX 650, 8GB RAM
