Description

Game Name?

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

G8ME01

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When 2d objects bend/curl up/flip over the game seems to lag when using OpenGL. The game drops to 6fps momentarily. This did not originally happen when I played this game on 4.0.2.
Using Direct3d the issue is not apparent.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

Dolphin 4.0-7781 - Not Working
Dolphin 5.0-rc-27 - Not Working
Dolphin 4.0.2 - Working

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

CPU: Intel I5 4430
GPU: Nvidia GTX 960
RAM: 4GB 1600MHz
OS: Windows 10 Professional 64-bit

Is there any other relevant information? Screenshots? Logs? Fifologs?

  • Status changed from New to Working as intended

Bounding box emulation got more accurate and is more demanding. Future OpenGL extensions will allow us to make it a bit faster. We already have an issue detailing the regression in performance for bounding box.

With the GTX 9xx series in particular, they seem to go into high power mode (even when we tell it to) on OpenGL during Paper Mario, exasperating the issue.
