Emulator Issues #9033
closedSupport portable.txt for Linux and OS X

Description
I don't really know if this is feasible due to how Linux installs Dolphin in Debian distros and how OS X has stuff in .apps but it would be nice to have portable.txt support in other OS'es. I was considering making a simple bisecting UI tool to help users identify which revision breaks their issue, but the lack of portable.txt on Linux and OS X makes this undesirable to design for those OSes, since it's probably not a good idea to assume the user has sane settings in their normal install, revisions can change settings or invalidate them, etc etc etc.
I understand that this probably isn't feasible due to how these OS'es install Dolphin, but if it's possible, it would be nice.

A "reset all Dolphin settings" button somewhere in the UI would also solve some of the issues here. Maybe even a Chrome-style dialogue with checkboxes for what you want to wipe?

I really like that idea. It would be a great addition for master IMO as well.
