Description

Game Name?

F-Zero GX

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

GFZE01

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

81293462cf48c6a482c33e25c4097ac0

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Credits sequence after Master difficulty completion isn't 100% accurate. The sepia tone images are supposed to appear to the right after the special character movie plays.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Get first place overall in an F-Zero Grand Prix on Master difficulty and watch credits.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

4.0-8114 but I remember seeing this as far back as 4.0-6080 if I remember correctly.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5-3210M @ 2.5GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 610M

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

This is what is supposed to happen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h47TwUzYf80&t=90m44s

What happens instead?

Can you go through older builds to see if this is a regression of some sort? Thanks.

Also try efb to ram or real xfb and see if either fixes it.

That was it. EFB2RAM. The specifics have been untested but if the problem is similar to the Super Smash Bros. Brawl snapshot feature problem, a snapshot is generated either during a race or after crossing the finish line. We all know that EFB2RAM is taxing for F-Zero GX players, so the best solution would probably be to enable EFB2RAM BEFORE crossing the finish line on the third lap and then disable EFB2RAM after the announcer announces the rank you earned.

Ummm. EFB2RAM in F-Zero GX isn't taxing as far as I can tell; it didn't cause any extra framerate loss for me at all.

Anyway, this just needs a note on the wiki; it's not worth forcing a setting for something like this if some people are seeing a significant performance drop.

Right. It's my computer. It's probably not as powerful as your rig. I don't have a GTX graphics card or an overkill Intel CPU. :P

I'm just saying I saw no performance drop at all, which means it wasn't using more of my CPU (as far as I could tell?) GPU shouldn't matter too much for EFB Copies to RAM, but it obviously does affect it somewhat.

Anyway, I still stand by not adding it to the INI if this is the case.

Correct. I have played the game without the sepia tone graphics in the end credits with no crashes or anything of major concern.
