We should update our wxWidgets version in Externals once this upstream issue is fixed: http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/17228

I've repro'd this in ubuntu on Gnome 3.

This is a really funny bug. Gotta love Wx.

This is no longer a problem due to the removal of Wx.
