Description

Game Name?

Super Smash. Bros. Melee (and probably others)

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

GALE01

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

[Put MD5 Hash here]

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Whenever I try to dump frames from Melee, the actual dumps hardly even resemble what's happening ingame. Though you can almost tell what's happening if you know what's actually supposed to be there, it's mostly a garbled mess.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Check "Dump Frames" in the movie menu
  2. Open Melee
  3. Record some amount of frames
  4. Close the game
  5. View the outputted frame dump
  6. Cry uncontrollably

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

4.0-7840 x64

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

OS: Windows 7 Professional x64
CPU: Intel i7-4720HQ
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB)

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Someone made a forum post about this, and it was generally agreed upon that the root cause is probably mirrorbender's two aspect ratio fixes that caused problems.
