What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
In Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, when you save the game, exit Dolphin and start it again, the game says that the save file is corrupt and has to be formatted.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
It seems to happen quite randomly, but the game file will corrupt after finishing some stages.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?
This issue seems to apply only to Dolphin 4.0. I tried it on several dev builds. On Dolphin 3.5, this issue doesn't happen. The game saves normally and the
save file doesn't corrupt.

I've never ran into this issue on the NTSC version of the game. Could you upload a working save and a broken save?
Can you also try using GCI folder instead of Memcard or vice versa.

Okay, here I have an intact and a broken save. I never used a GCI folder, I'll try that out.

I used the GCI folder to reproduce the issue now and the game save is broken again. Interestingly, it seems most likely to happen
after the stage "Green Forest" in the Hero storyline but it can break earlier or later, too.

I need to ping LPFaint99 on this but I don't know how.

I need some kind of reproduction steps to actually figure this out. Both save files look fine. Will test and see how they react to the game myself before accepting/closing.

I tested this a bit, it appears this actually is a known issue on the Steam release as well.
I don't have a good answer as to when/why it corrupts, the savefile itself appears to be okay. If someone can find an exact set of steps to reproduce the issue consistently, we could at least compare to console and see if this is a Dolphin issue, but based on reports I'm not sure anymore.

Are you using save states in combination with normal in-game saves?
