Description

Game Name?

Skylanders: Swap Force - SVXE52

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

I have a lot of games. A LOT of games. So many games that I cannot fit the saves + wads all onto my Wii's internal memory. Thankfully, Dolphin has a nifty feature to always leave a few blocks open so that I can keep creating saves. Unfortunately, Dolphin only leaves 6 blocks open, when Skylanders: Swap Force uses 7, causing it to be unable to save.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install a ton of wads. VC, Wiiware, Channels, etc.
  2. Make sure the NAND is full. Going into Wii's data management will usually say 6 blocks remaining at the very least, even when beyond full.
  3. Startup Skylander's Swap Force with no save file

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

4.0.2, 4.0-8721

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Core i5 3570K, GTX 760, Windows 7

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Maybe.

This issue is not possible to fix as the Wii does not use a simple "how much free space is there" check. It keeps an index which eventually fills up even if we tell the game that there is free space available. Multiple nands have to be kept and swapped between.

Every other game still saves properly, though?
