Description

Game Name?

Sonic Riders : Zero Gravity

Game ID?

RS9P8P

MD5 Hash?

190a2c6fb9005af53937e3c5f53aaf7b (This time it's good, I promise)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When playing the game, lighting errors occur, making the game darker than it should be.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Navigate the menus, select the first story mission (Story Mode > Hero Story > Megalo Station > Story). You can see it in free mode as well, and in others track, but Story Mode Megalo Station lets you see the effect the most, and it starts the race by itself.
  2. Look at the screen while Sonic does the start for you.
  3. Notice the lighting difference before and after you crossed the start line and gained control.

Alternatively : While in a race, perform gravity control. Notice how the game go darker during the brief time you boost after letting go your gravity control.

To fix the problem, use EFB to RAM.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

The problem is present in latest versions of Dolphin.
Version 4.0-7630 created the regression.
Versions 4.0-7626 and below do not show this behaviour and work fine.

What are your PC specifications?

i7-4790k
Nvidia GTX 970
Windows 10

This should already be fixed by https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/3752

Even if it isn't, the reason why EFB2Texture stopped working isn't because of a regression, it was because it previous was handling the case incorrectly, and rather than just display whatever, phire made it so it killed EFB Copies it didn't support. This resulted in a mostly correct looking effect being disabled.
