During events that use both the Wii Remote and nunchuk, for instance the long jump, the bottom portion of icons used to show necessary controller actions are cut off at the bottom.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Play long jump even with Sonic, observe instructional control icons.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

r4693

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

This was recently reported on the wiki unclear of the version/hardware utilized. I didn't retest myself, but a similar issues seems to appear in a video capture from r4693: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mro77LEXmJk

r4693 is ancient. You need to test this on a development version of Dolphin that's from this month or so, preferably the newest one.

  • Status changed from New to Questionable

None of the other games that use the same engine have this issue in latest master (including the direct sequel for the winter games...)

Considering the build used for testing, this is highly questionable.

r4693 was not the build used for testing, it was just the only build I could find photographic evidence of the bug in. The issue was reported just this week on the wiki, so I'd presume the reported had used a more recent build (though we have no way to confirm).

It's OK for this to be questionable, but needs further investigation. I'll try to get to it later this afternoon.

OK, unclear as of when it was corrected, but this is no longer seen in 4.0-9146. So something resolved it between r4692 and 4.0-9146. It seemed to be a real issue, but is now seems to be fixed.
