I can confirm it.
Game halts, does not crash the emulator.

I don't think it's an issue with DVDLowSeek

The House of the Dead: Overkill gives the same error msg when it boots. after that
the emu crashes.

99% sure it's not DVDLowSeek causing the problems...it is interesting to know that
multiple games use it before crashing though.
If you find more list them here, I'll try and get one to test and fix.

I confirm the House Of The Dead : Overkill error message. Using r3488 I got the
following log:

30:00:093 E[WII_IPC_STM]: STM immediate: Open
30:00:109 W[COMMON]: IsDirectory: stat failed on : The system cannot find the path
specified.

30:00:171 W[WII_IPC_DVD]: DVDLowUnencryptedRead: trying to read out of bounds @ 460a0000
30:00:171 W[WII_IPC_DVD]: DVDLowRequestError status = 0x00052100
30:00:171 W[WII_IPC_DVD]: DVDLowRequestError status = 0x00052000
30:00:187 E[WII_IPC_FILEIO]: FileIO failed open for reading:
./User/Wii/title/00000001/00000002/data/play_rec.dat - File doesn't exist
30:02:218 W[WII_IPC_WIIMOTE]: IR Enable 0x1a: 0x02
30:03:406 W[WII_IPC_WIIMOTE]: IR Enable 0x13: 0x06
30:03:640 W[WII_IPC_WIIMOTE]: IR Enable 0x1a: 0x06

Then game gets stucked there.

arslanoglou.georgios, about
User/Wii/title/00000001/00000002/data/play_rec.dat
i watched in my copy of WII OS, this file has size 0 bytes
so you can just create this file yourself in this folder

Thank you Autor for your answer. I tried creating an empty file in the folder
specified, but still no game :(
I dont get the message about the file, but the game still stucks...
