Description

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

This isn't a bug but a suggestion I have. Dolphin's native Wii U adapter support doesn't work out of the box and generally requires some level of user configuration outside of Dolphin beforehand. For users who are not aware of this the setup can be confusing and Dolphin doesn't provide a meaningful way of notifying users what they are supposed to do.

My suggestion is that when a user selects "GameCube adapter for the Wii U" for the first time a dialogue box will come up with a message saying something like "Please read https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=How_to_use_the_Official_GameCube_Controller_Adapter_for_Wii_U_in_Dolphin for instructions on how to set up your Wii U adapter." And have the URL linked to so they can go directly to that page. It may also be nice to include this link in the GameCube adapter for Wii U configuration window saying something like "Setup Instructions".

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?
