Yes.
There is a way to change the default size in the code, i'll see if I can make it user
defined via the config.

There is the possibility of opening the Emulated SD card (sd.raw) and change its size
from 128mb (default) to 2gb.

Does anyone remember the watchdog? It was a simple control over the FIFO's
synchronisation.

It did fix my issue, also, ConfigMain uses MAXPADS a couple of times there to
check out what plugins are assigned to... cacofff

AHA! Changing the MAXPADS define back to 4 did it.
