What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Whenever I get to the last level or last boss of a run, the game will crash or lock up.
The game also has horrible slowdown when explosions and lava are on screen.
Cutscenes glitch randomly, like characters bend out of shape for a split-second and the CGI ones have glitchy squares.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Complete any 5 stages and the game will crash on the 6th one.
For slowdown, just go to the first level.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Does this happen in the stable version 5.0?
If not, could you please bisect what the last version is that was working properly?
I know that on my laptop it used to work perfectly about 3-4 months ago. I also double checked your MD5 and it is a valid dump for the PAL region.
Another thing that might be useful is having screenshots of all your settings.

Do you have any cheatcodes on? The slowdown is normal, especially at higher IRs (it slams tons of EFB Copies) Also above 1x IR you'll probably see some garbage due to how the game performs EFB Copies.
Characters bending out of shape is not something I've seen though.

If it's only PAL I can't investigate it without importing... but I'll try the NTSC version.
It sounds like a CPU bug - do the problems occur on single core/interpreters?

I went through a full run of the game an experienced none of these bugs on the NTSC version.
