Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Run Pokemon XD: gale of darkness
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The game should boot and start, but instead it gets stuck on a black
screen while the fps counter still runs.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using Dolphin x64 3857 on Windows XP 64
Please provide any additional information below.
This game has never worked on Dolphin (at least not by using conventional
ways) see : http://forums.ngemu.com/1532540-post966.html

Pd: First time reporting a [Game issue]
Updated by Kronox.i over 15 years ago
//3867 +update+
Dualcore = ON
Makes the game reach to the main menu.
It spits a GFU got desync'd error when triying to render the intro (where the ship
is shown)
Single core doesn't work either. Nor does Dx plugin.
Quick Battles work as they should.
I'm not sure what "fixed" the game, but on 3841 the safety screen wouldn't show up.
now on 3867 it does but it looks like fading... instead of white letters you get
grey ones.
Also it seems to be related to an audio issue. If one use Null as audio output, the
intro movies will freeze, and by using LLE plugin (without actually having de .bin
files) i was able to see the intro, but it froze before reaching in-game status

Issue 1226 has been merged into this issue.
Updated by omegadox over 15 years ago
- Status changed from New to Work started
- Issue type set to Bug
- Priority set to Normal
- Category set to gfx
- Relates to usability set to Yes
- Operating system N/A added
This will boot fine on R3855, it looks like FIFO bug causes this game to not boot. I
would think maybe the Command Processor is involved, but likely not as the game
doesn't work in SC mode. I'll keep trying to understand Nolan's FIFO changes made to
the FIFO.

Game has problems with the JIT and can work on Interpreter mode with my FIFO code
changes.
Updated by omegadox over 15 years ago
This game breaks because of CPU/GPU syncing bugs.

I have a save file that allows me to get in-game, but sometimes after or in the
middle of a fight the fps counter goes to 0 and the music start looping... same as
Soul Calibur II on the first revisions. If it would help i can post the savegame (or
savestate if preffered) on mediafire.
Updated by omegadox over 15 years ago
don't need any saves, I know the problem with the game, the whole sync handling code
needs re-write.

I think this should be fixed already, any can try r4699?
Updated by MofoMan2000 almost 15 years ago
It works in single core mode now, r4968, but dual core mode gives a graphics desync
error.
Updated by ayuanx almost 15 years ago
How about disable Idle Skipping in dual core?
Updated by MofoMan2000 almost 15 years ago
Nope, still gives an error.
"Warning"
"GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0x22).
This means one of the following: blah blah blah"
Sometimes the number is different but a lot of times it's 0x22.

i like this game i would like to play it in my pc in HD any luck on this issue???
Updated by Kronox.i over 14 years ago
in latest revs as stated above, the game will run perfect (or close to) with single
core. (that is, if your rig can achieve fullspeed with only one core)
Updated by maximu over 14 years ago
Update issue actually last svn only enabled Dualcore option.
Updated by teohhanhui over 14 years ago
This game has been broken by r5692 and black screen since r5699.
Updated by tez759 about 14 years ago
Total black screen and not booting in r6019, toggling dual core and idle skipping does not change anything.

Issue 2824 has been merged into this issue.

- Status changed from Work started to Duplicate

I'm on Dolphin 2.0 (downloaded today, unsure of release number) and XD runs at ~70% speed on 1 core but gives a GPU desynced error with two.
