it freezes up and does not do anything

yes when im play the new super mario bros game with a ps3 controller after
5 to 10 mins of game play i get a message saying wiimote 1 time out by the
system and then it will freeze. before the 5 to 10 mins of game play with
the ps3 controller everything is working fine but after that it will say
wiimote 1 has timed out by system and will freeze how can i fix this so i
can play the game all the way threw with my ps3 controller???
