Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Run RE Darkside Chronicles
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Gunshots sound disapears after couple seconds in game. Gunshot sound was
working in older revs (last is I think 4638)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Using build 4984, tried also dozen of revs after 4638 and sound is missing.
I have Windows 7 x64

Please provide any additional information below.

With all due respect this is no game issue. Like I said I play it with rev 4638 with
full sound effects, I just want new features of newer builds. It worked and now
something is interfering with it. I dont espect miracles and I know that Dolphin is
free and all you people do this without material compesation, but there is no need
that you put my post out of open issues so that anyone cant see it and maybe solwe it!

Game issue = meaning Dolphin has a problem with a game.

BUT, I do hate how "Game Issues" are taken out of the "Open/Active" Issue list. Just
stupid.

Still no difference in recent revisions. This is more than just the gun also, all SFX cut in and out throughout game - gotta just play with the volume really low to not notice all the problems. :) I am looking forward to seeing some more work on the DSP.

It's true i played it and use many revisions as of 61xx and all have this problem.

Crap, didn't see this in time. Godisgovernment, can you please reopen?

Not only is this still valid (as of r6801) BUT i discovered the exact same thing occurs when using the LLE plugin. So since the LLE is nearly bugfree, that means the gun shot issue is probably a core/timing problem.

Hopefully, that clue aids in a fix...it' hard to play this game with no gunshot sounds. :)

Nah, that guy's full of it. I just checked and this issue goes back to at least the r42xx series - probably never worked right.

Hey, the fix for this is here in this thread I posted... http://forums.dolphin-emulator.com/showthread.php?tid=14734&pid=135517#pid135517

Thanks, but that's not a "fix" but a crazy workaround which also requires the use of a build from 2000 revs. ago. Good to know, but it needs to be actually fixed in the latest code. Maybe that information though can help the current devs find a proper solution? Hopefully!

Ok, some guy on the forums found a rev that is truly perfect with the gunshot bug non-existant. Post here: http://forums.dolphin-emulator.com/showthread.php?tid=14867

"In r4638 sound is perfect on Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles.
here's the link r4638. http://www.emucr.com/2009/12/dolphin-svn-r4638.html
direct link r4638x64 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=INM4VKC5"

Here's hoping some comparisons could lead to a fix for this issue!

Alright close this puppy out! All fixed by recent audio core changes. Works on HLE & LLE now. Never cuts out!

Thank god, the game is now playable - didn't think I'd ever see this resolved. Nice!
