Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- compile dolphin for linux x64
- put a 1:1 copy of my wii nand in the proper folder
- start dolphin and select the option to load wii menu
I get all the stats at the top of the screen saying it is rendering
@75-100% and "press a to continue" screen tries to come up. The framerate
is slow enough that I can count the frames go by. I press A and can hear
the sound effects of the system menu, but i get nothing but a blackscreen
after that.
Using the openGL video setting, I get nothing but blackscreen. Using the
dolphin render setting, I get the above. I have tried each of the
different settings and the above is the best I have gotten.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
using r5007. the PC is AMD quad-core 2.2GHZ, 8GB ram, dual nVidia 1GB
video cards, ubuntu 9.10 x64. I also tried XP Pro x64 on the same PC and
got the same result.
If there is any debug output that would help, please let me know.
Have you tried unchecking "Insert SD Card" and "Connect USB Keyboard" in the Config
-> Wii tab?
both are unchecked by default and i never checked them.
Under the "General Options" tab of the settings dialog, do you have either "LEDs" or
"Speakers" checked for "Show wiimote status"? I have problems somewhat like you are
describing if I check those.
those are also unchecked by default and i have not checked them. using all default
settings, i get the blackscreen. if i change from opengl to the dolphin rendering, i
get the output i described above.
experiencing black screen too using SmashBB[E], haven't got access to other games,
multiple fora describe the black screen.
I use nvidia v185, what gfx do the dev's use? and what linux driver? nvidia-185 ?
What distribution?
yes. ive just built r5818. i can start it up and it shows the warning screen. but the "press a to continue" never even pops up.
i should add that now it appears that both the wii menu and gamecube games only appear to load 1 frame. after that first frame, they do not respond to any input and if i resize the window, they do not refresh the image. it is just a black screen.
i have to forcefully exit the window.

Hm ok, I can reproduce this in a VM running debian lenny; altho with the Software plugin only (VMware doesnt seem to like the OGL plugin).
And it doesnt break anything, i can simply close the render window and get back to the main window without problems.
