Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.In Zelda: Wind Waker, on the first island, after you get your green
clothes and meet your sister again up in the islands crows nest.
2.You receive a telescope, when you look through the telescope after equipping it, this error occurs: [58:43:405
Source/Core/DiscIO/Src/FileMonitor.cpp:109 N[FileMon]: 2,282 kB
Audiores/Stream/demo01.afc]
3.You see the bird man look up, a cut scene plays. After the cut scene
plays you can roam the island again. If you enter any of the buildings, you
black screen. No errors are produced.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output would be that the building I enter would render, instead it
just black screens completely.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
REV 5321 - OS Ubuntu 9.10, using ppa:glennric/dolphin-emu source

Please provide any additional information below.

Some other minor things I've noticed:

DSP-HLE sound plugin lags behind by a second on all sounds in WW, music
tends to skip through the song very fast. Music plays the first 5 seconds
and skips to the middle of the song and continues in this pattern. I've
tried several different DSP option variations, none seem to produce better
sound.

Trying to use LLE plugin in Ubuntu crashes the emulation on start.

Trying to use Anti-Aliasing in Ubuntu with OpenGL plugin produces a black
flicker. Hardly any frames show with AA on, and if they do show, it is only
for a split second.

My Rig: i5 Quad Core OC'd 3.9 GHz, 750w PSU, 4gb DDR3, NVidia GTX 275 with
195.36.15 drivers

Could you try the official build at http://dolphin-emu.com/downloads.php?cat_id=9 and
see if this happens with that build too. If so this is probably a game specific
issue. Otherwise it could be due to a patch that I use for my ppa build. I built
the 64 bit build on the page above also, but without that patch. It could also be
something that is not in stable, that is causing the problem. The ppa builds are
from the trunk.

As to the LLE plugin, have you retrieved the necessary system files from your Wii to
use the LLE plugin?

Anti-Aliasing doesn't work in linux yet, as far as I know.

Didn't know you had to have Wii system files from my Wii, thanks for clearing that
up.

I downloaded dolphin-emu x64 Linux from the link you provided. The GC pad setup GUI
is different from the Deb package I was using. I tried my best to map the analog
stick, but it wouldn't map the sticks right? I tried using a temp keyboard controller
config, but I start WW up and it produced this error: [Error loading
plugins/libPlugin_Wiimote.so: can't read info]

Thanks,

By the way, I checked and libPlugin_Wiimote.so exists in the plugins folder. Maybe a
corrupt file?

he means that you'll need 2 files named dsp_rom.bin and dsp_coef.bin from your wii(or gc)

the wiimote issues on that build should be fixed now, try downloading it again.

Alright, I retried WW on the release build x64 Linux. I get to the intro of the game,
then black screen, so I don't see any game play. No errors were reported. Sound was
disabled. No special graphical settings applied. By the way, dolphin release build
won't recognize my ps3 controller.

I had same pb with OpenGL plugin in Win64. I just restarted Dolphin and it solved the
problem. Try to do so if you didn't.

I noticed my Deb Packaged Dolphin updated, so I tried it again. Turns out, whatever
updated fixed the black screening issue I was having, so I can actually play the game
now! Thanks!
