Emulator Issues #2826
closedSuper Smash Brothers Brawl Assist Trophy Glitch
0%
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Spawn an assist trophy.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should appear correctly, but sometimes messes up and shows a black image of an avatar in the thing.
Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?
I believe all versions are affected. I'm using Win7 64bit, R5728.
I attached a screenshot. Most of the time, the black image shows up. But if you play around with the angle, you can get an image of what it should look like from all angles.

Do you use DX11, DX9, OpenGL or Software Rendering?
I can't confirm this with DX11. Looks perfect.

I use DX9, I tried DX11 and same result. These are my plugin settings for DX9:
Vsync
AR: Auto
4x SSAA
EFB Scale: Auto (Fractional)
Enable CPU->EFB Access
Everything on Enhancements is checked.
EFB Copy to Texture.
Use Native Mips.

Ok after playing with it a little more - I see what's happening. It seems that the assist trophy comprises of two or more images, and from most of the angles, the black image is overlayed over the case of the trophy, instead of being behind it.
Perhaps correcting this issue will fix other issues like the main screen glitching around? The main screen glitch could be relating to indexing.

Here are various angles from the trophy itself. Note that when looked at straight on or from below, it appears correctly. Anything else doesn't show right.
