Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start Tales of Symphonia with OpenCL activated (it's quite slow to initialize on game start-up, by the way).
  2. Wait for the third credits screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I've attached cropped screenshots, as the rest of the screen is black. Of course, the glitchy part is the red lines below the text.

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?
Newest SVN. Haven't yet been able to test other SVNs with changes to the OCL implementation.

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?
64-bit version compiled with OpenCL (NVIDIA).

OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?
Win7 x64, VS 2008, NVIDIA GPU Computing SDK 3.0, DirectX SDK June 2010.

Please provide any additional information below.
This is consistently reproducible on my side. Switching OCL off fixes it, turning it on causes this glitch. I haven't yet seen anything else in terms of graphics glitches either in other games or in ToS. I don't know what might cause this. Perhaps an NVIDIA driver bug in their OCL implementation? Haven't yet tested other drivers.

Here are my specs:
Rampage II Extreme, BIOS 1801
Core i7-920, at 3.6 GHz
6 GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX 480, driver 257.21 WHQL
SB X-Fi Titanium Pro

I've just noticed: The reddish color of the lines is the same as the big "NAMCO" on the credits screen before the one pictured above. These red lines fade in and out with the rest of the "NAMCO TALES STUDIO LTD." text and appear slightly below of where the big, reddish "NAMCO" before was.

I've included another picture for confirmation. Hope that helps a bit.

Maybe it is the same error.

With Opencl:

Without OpenCL:

Tested game: SSBB.

Issue 2883 is most likely a duplicate of this.

I've tested tales of symphonia: dawn of the new world, mario kart wii, Resident evil 0 wii and zelda twilight pricess GC, with revisions 3.0, 3.0-600, 3.0-631, 3.0-689 on a AMD HD 5670. It seems to be fixed in those revisions or as said, it may be a Nvidia only problem.

Comment #9 claims this is fixed.
I do not experience these problems. (on nvidia).
OpenCL is going to be removed and/or redone anyways.
