Emulator Issues #2936
closedNew Wiimote plugin has issues connecting to real wiimotes
0%
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Launch emu and enter the new wiimotes plugin interface
- Press 1+2 on the wiimote and then press "Refresh"
- Try various other sequences/timings of this
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The wiimote is never paired.
I have to go get the wiimote paired to Dolphin with the old plugin, switch to the new plugin and it'll show up as being connect to "1" wiimote. BUT, when I go launch the game, after about 5 seconds, it fully unsyncs/unpairs and becomes unusable - have to restart the process with the old plugin but again it's just going to cut out once the game has started (100% of the time). Alt+F4 to connect/disconnect does nothing to help this.
So bottom line: 1) Cannot be synced with real wiimotes and 2) even after assistance from the older plugin to get synced, the wiimote turns off once game has been launched.
32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?
Using 64bit dolphin
OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?
Win 7.
Please provide any additional information below.
--Using the old wiimote is perfect. You can click on pair up or turn on "extended pair up" and the wiimote syncs perfectly. I've used this plugin for months without issue, but I was hoping I could start using the newer one since it is much better - except for this issue of course :).
--This is using the MS stack - which could be the problem as apparantly using bluesoil does not have any troubles.
--I know this is "incomplete" but Billard said this should at least be working. What is still "incomplete" about the plugin if I can ask?
--Using a 2.1 bluetooth dongle also.
--Latest SVNs (always)

It's simple, it's because the pair up routine for the ms stack isn't ported yet. I'm no big fan of bluesoleil& co., especially since it's no freeware nor ofc open-source.
Give it some time wespipes69, it will certainly get ported some time since the predominant majority of dolphin windows users(>>90%) are and always will be using microsofts own bt stack(that includes myself). I'm in the process of massively increasing the compatibility under ms bt stack by using a socketlike approach just like under linux. I'm not sure if that's gonna work out that easy but we will see when I'm done some time...
