What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start a new game.
  2. As soon as the sprite starts talking, you will notice that only the first letter appears, the text then stops flowing.
  3. Press A to skip and make the dialog appear all at once.
  4. The real problem happens shortly after when the game hits you with an unskipable dialog box. No text appears in the box and there is no way to proceed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is normal flow of text for skipable and unskipable text boxes. Instead we have non-flowing text.

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem? Every SVN version from about 5748 and up has the problem. Official release 2.0 does not have the problem but is unplayable due to speed (speed is perfect in later revs).

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?
My testing was done on the 64-bit builds.

OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?
Windows 7 64-bits. Up to date DirectX runtimes as of July 20th 2010. ATI Catalyst v10.6

Please provide any additional information below.
System information: Intel Core i7-720QM, 8GB ram, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870

Plugins affected: In the latest revisions, all video plugins are affected (dx9, dx11 and openGL). In the older revs and in the official 2.0 release this problem is not present but the game is unplayable because of speed. OpenCL was not a factor in this issue. I also tried almost all the configuration options to no avail.
