Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open GCPad config
  2. Click the Rumble Motor button
  3. Select gamepad
  4. Press test (or anything)
  5. Nothing happens

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I think the gamepad should perform a rumble event when pressing the test button.
There is no further information, both text fields are blank.
Changing range doesn't change anything.
No rumble events in games.

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?
tested with r5967

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?
64bit, plain svn build
OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?
Ubuntu 10.04, 64bit
Please provide any additional information below.
I've tested it with an xbox controller, rumble works when using fftest or in mupen64plus.

Dolphin must be compiled with SDL 1.3 to support rumble.
Did you compile with SDL 1.3?

Ah, ok Ubuntu still has only SDL 1.2

Still compiling with sdl.13-dev is the only way to get rumble working?

There is not sdl1.3 repository for ubuntu (not that i could find) and it seems sdl1.3 will take long to be released..
