Description
Just curios, did 4xSSA really slowdown dolphin although my graphic card can handle it? I mean in rev4xxx, the 4xSSA really does not affect my system at all only at 9xSSA my system crawling :).
THe game i test is Rune Factory while MH3 is still playable when i used 4xSSA in latest rev. btw i used r6214 and r4830. Just to compare emulator speed.
In rev4xxx, i used the plugins in rev5xxx ( by copy and paste ) and the slowdown never happen unless im using rev5xxx and rev6xxx.

If your video card is not up to the job it will slow you down. It would be nice if you mentioned the kind of hardware you're using.

Sory for the lack of manner.. the system specs are
intel e5200@3.6ghz
ati 4870
4gb DDR2
I think my specs is good enough to play dolphin with 4xSSA...

Is that an on-board graphics card? As in not a AGP or PCI-E card? There really is no reason you would not be able to use 4xSSAA otherwise.

hafizmml89,
In r6214, how many fps do you get with 4xSSAA enabled?

@tommy - it is a PCI-E card, otherwise i would not be able to play any PC games of course : )
@skidau - based on Rune Factory :
4xSSSA Enable - 17-25fps ( staggering based on the scene in the game )
4xSSSA Disable - Full 30fps all the time
Monster Hunter Tri :
4XSSSA Enable - 25-30fps ( based on scene ofcourse :) )
"" Disable - Full Speed all the time
Im pretty sure that my processor can handle it. As a side note, i played it at 1600x900 and when i play it at 1280x720, the speed increased alot although not full speed all the time.
My GC card RAM is 512MB...
Im pretty sure with 4xSSA in recent SVN ( r5xxx above ) has topped my GC RAM ( correct me if im wrong ) but enabling 4xSSA in r4830 in both Rune Factory and Monster Hunter Tri really does not affect the speed at all.

If you think 4xSSAA is causing more slowdown than it used to, figure out the Exact revision which caused it.

- Status changed from New to Won't fix
The SSAA slowdown is caused by r5006. It has been noted in the commit that SSAA will cause slowdown.
