Description

Unsure if this is fault with Dolphin or the app

What's the problem?
Dolphin doesn't properly detect the iDevice accelerometer (see image)

Even though IR sensor is set to touch and not accelerometer, the cursor still moves with acceleration

IR pointing mode on iDevice doesn't appear to work

Dolphin version with the problem:
R7009

Operating system and version:
Win7 x64

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):
R3OE01

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
Scrubbed ISO

Please provide any additional information below.
Only tested with Other M since that is the only Wii ISO I have dumped
No bindings were set for KB/M
Tested with sideways wiimote toggled on/off
iController was set at defaults, except for IR set to Touch mode

I've been working around the problem by holding the device upsidedown vertical, then disabling acceleration updates.

Under Kubuntu x86_64 the accelerometer works perfect, but IR pointing doesn't work at all with the iDevice

Now on R7059, the issue applies to both Linux and Windows builds

Still an issue in R7127

Any feedback from anyone else that uses iController is appreciated.

I'm having the same problem with r7483 using my iDevice. The pointer is glitchy and will hardly move even after calibrating it. Playing Metroid: Other M and can't get past the training exercise because first person view mode won't work >:(

  • Status changed from New to Won't fix

This is likely a problem with the iController app.
