Safe Texture Slider buggy while the game is running

Description
What's the problem?
While any game is running, it is not possible to drag the safe texture cache slider with the mouse anymore. using the mousewheel to control it is possible though
Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"):
r7540 x64
Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit:
64bit win 7 ultimate
Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):
GZ2P01
Build command-line (not on Windows):
Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
1:1 dump using a wii and then scrubbed/compressed using dolphin

For reference, this almost looks like a bug in wxWidgets to me.. or something we're REALLY screwing up there. Even if I just create the slider and don't connect any events to it, it won't update properly...
The volume slider in the general config is affected by this as well.

Sliders responds to mouse if not ingame. Sliders are responding to keyboard Arrow keys nicely.

I'm able to slide it to one end or the other with my mouse pointer, but no option in between. The mouse wheel works fine for any option.
