Description

What's the problem?

I have an ASUS Republic of gamers model g73jh - i7-720 - ati 5870
I've tried 20 different versions of dolphin, all based on the performance guide, and don't matter what i can't play any games 60fps. neither new super mario with in the "princess birthday scene" falls to 30fps or less

(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem:

Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit:

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"):

Build command-line (not on Windows):

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?

Please provide any additional information below.

It might be that that game only runs at 30FPS.

Lower FPS and lower VPS, or just lower FPS for some odd reason? (and no, NSMB Wii should be running at 50/60FPS)

If you mean the former, then it usually isn't considered a valid, easily fixable issue in Dolphin... Is your system performing at its best (around 2.8Ghz with that CPU, AFAIK)? Did you try both DX9 and DX11? Do you happen to be using a great resolution in Dolphin along with 9xSSAA (and highly scaled EFB copies)?...

Dolphin's forum should be better for this kind of stuff...

let me answer your question, to get the most out the asus g73jh series laptop you have to put upgrade the software and drivers, and use custom video bios. Trust me playing nsmb should give 60fps or higher and depends of dolphin settings.

when i turn dolphin games on it appears 1.6 ghz processor
i've installed last versons of directx, visual c++, turn anti aliasing off, tryed scaled EFB copies... i've spent more than 1 month (no kidding) trying every combination on the config panel... t's time enough to try EVERY combination on the config panel, as the graphics config... all drivers and softwares are updated... i've followed a lot of tutorials and followed a lot of configurations, exactly the same way i've saw in a lot of places, and none worked... i'm so sad, really... i've bought the wii controlers from dealextreme i i can't play at all... because of the damn frame rate... i think is something to do with the g73jh, maybe it can't run dolphin in an adequate frame rate... somebody help me please... thanks in advance :)

Your laptop might be overheating and the CPU is being throttled. Check the temperatures.
