Description

What's the problem?
See Title.

Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"): Currently running r7610

(optional) Dolphin version that does not have the problem: I've noticed this crash at least as far back as r7000

Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit: Both Windows and Linux x64 I've tested. I get the hard crash in both, though Linux crashes and immediately kills the emu. Windows gets stuck in an error loop, something about a back patch, I don't know, I hardly ever boot Windows anymore.

Game ID (as it appears in game properties, Ex.: "GZ2P01" or "RSBE01"): Mario Kart Wii. US version.

Build command-line (not on Windows):

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?

Please provide any additional information below.

This only seems to happen in 3 player or 4 player mode. 2 player mode and single player mode are much, much more stable.

I'm using Linux Mint 11 x64. It's a great OS, you should try it. Dolphin runs very well, except for this issue and a few glitches in other games here and there.

Same issue exists on Windows (tested on Windows 7 x64) with European version of the game (Game ID: RMCP01, 4,37 GB iso).
Dolphin crashes after about eight races of the two player game (always during the race, never in the menu) in quite random place (sometimes at the beginning, other times after few laps).

For the record, this issue looks like a duplicate of issue 4296. Duplicate issue 3939 mentions r6818 as the earliest tried build where the crash can occur.

Did a regression occur? I don't (and probably won't) feel like spend time on this issue for now...

The last picture suggests the problem occurs when EFB copies are done to RAM and when "Enable cache" is checked. Is that true?

I do not have EFB copies checked, or the Enable cache.

As of Dec 4, 2011, Revision 201 this is still an issue. Linux Mint 11 x64.

Bummer because Mario Kart multiplayer is the main reason I use Dolphin. The main reason I use Dolphin is the higher res than my wii.
