Problem with Dual Core and DirectX9 after updati1.6ng ATI Catalyst to 1

Description

All games won't start(black screen, no sound), unless opengl is used and dual core is disabled.
If DX9 is used it receives the following error(pasted the error message)

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
ISO was compressed.
Please provide any additional information below.
Problem began after updating ATI Catalyst Control Center to 11.6 and updating drivers for HD 5850. No change to problem after rolling back drivers through windows.

Is DIrectX up to date ? Personnaly, I have a HD 4890 and Catalyst 11.6 and it works fine

You should always go to the forums first for this kind of stuff. Please! The tracker is so full of junk right now. Sort out what you can over there and then after finding there's no resolution and others can confirm, come here and post your issue. Thanks.

Did you try Driver Sweeper before installing Catalyst 11.6???
I have a 5970 with 11.6 installed and Dolphin works just fine.
