Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Run dolphin r1855
  2. Play any game. I tested with Pikmin 2
  3. Play any other game, or the same game.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected the emulation to run the same for both runs of the same game.
What happened instead was this: the first time I ran Pikmin 2, I was like
"OMG it's almost full speed on this crappy laptop" and I was playing it
with much enthusiasm. All games emulated after that however, including
Pikmin 2 on subsequent runs, seemed to run very slowly. The only way I
could get it to go back to speedy quick was to delete the folder and
re-extract it.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm running r1855 on Windows 7, which should be behaving very similarly to
Windows Vista. I can't benchmark on a Vista machine because my 7 machine is
dual core and my Vista machine is single core. I wouldn't trust the results.

Please provide any additional information below.
This computer is running 64bit Windows 7 and is dual core. The graphics
card isn't great, but I find that dolphin usually runs quite well on it
despite the limitations of the system. It seems that either there's a
memleak somewhere in one of the plugins, or there's something that's
getting messed up in a configuration file after the first run that's
changing an option? I didn't see any way to enable/disable the JIT 2 that
you've been working on, could it be related to that?

Regardless, I'm impressed with the speed increase initially. I just wish I
could make it... y'know... stay put.
