Saved states suddenly stopped loading properly - all there is is sound, image never loads.

Hello to you all Dolphin players !

Metroid Prime is the game. No ID for it found.

Expected output : my most recent saved state, in the middle of the Chozo ruins, right after beating Flaahgra. Instead, I only get ambient sound, image freezes on previous frame (the one I was seeing when I loaded my saved state), and that's it.

The game was working amazingly well up until now, on this very version of Dolphin, with state saves and all.

Steps : load saved state. There you are, stuck.

Dolphin 3.0 - 189 on Mac OS X Lion.

Thanks to you all for your help ! If you just have a saved state that's just as advanced as mine in the game, do share - that would do, and we'd see wether it is my saves that are flawed or the whole thing.

They are not always going to work perfectly. This seems more like a case of it randomly not working one time more than an issue. Just try again, and don't depend on save states all the time, use memory card files.

Save state is not perfect. As suggested comment before mine use normal game save. However if you would use save state, use two or more slot and do many savestates. It's annoying but reduce the risk to wrong loading state near to 0. I use to do 4 savestate (Shift+F1,Shift+F2,Shift+F3,Shift+F4) and then when i need it load the first (F1), then if not load properly load the second (F2), and so on. With this method only one time i have 4 savestate corrupted in many hours of play, so you fell free to use many slots( but it became very very annoying).

Ah, a little note. Between each savestate wait about 2 seconds!!
