Skip bios automatically rechecks if you don't have the necessary bios files. Also, it has nothing to do with wii games, since they use IOS instead of a bios system like the gamecubes.
If you want to learn how to dump and use your gamecube's bios, ask on the forums - https://forums.dolphin-emu.org

I have the necessary BIOS files. I have the Gamecube BIOS boot before launching Gamecube games. If I launch a Wii game, then later launch a Gamecube game, the BIOS will no longer boot unless I manually uncheck "Skip BIOS" again.

I can confirm this.
The Bug seems to be valid.

I'll let skid figure this out then.

I figured out what's causing this issue. It appears that when launching a Wii game, Dolphin.ini is overwritten, and "Skip BIOS" is rechecked. I can fix this problem by making Dolphin.ini "Read-Only," but that's not ideal because it makes changing the configuration a hassle.

I'm afraid the bug is not fixed. The bug still is still in the latest build by Rachelbryk.

In build 4.0-1212? Did you make Dolphin.ini read-only or something? It still overwrites the settings for me.

No, i made it so the setting is saved before it gets changed. So it'll still be checked while playing a wii game, but it will change back when you exit the game.
