Game Name?
Super Mario Sunshine - Super Mario Galaxy - Castlevania: The adventure Rebirth to name a few.
Game ID?
GMSE01 RMGE01 WD9EA4
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
I tried a few games. Stable release works fine. Development versions from 4.0-1214 down to 4.0-903 do not run the games. 4.0-889 works fine.
What did you expect to happen instead?
N/A
What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
- I imagine having the same specs as my PC will reproduce the problem.
- I used the compiled versions from the Dolphin emu Website.
- N/A
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
This is stated above. I've tried about 15 different developer versions to zero in on the latest one that is working for me.
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work? Also stated above. 4.0-889
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU) Windows 7 Professional 32-bit, AMD Phenom II X4 955, Nvidia GTX 560 Ti, 4GB DDR3 RAM running at 800 bus speed (supposed to run at 1033 but meh) Sound is coming off the Video Card through HDMI.
Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Dolphin?
32 Bit
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Kinda, when running Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth it will actually pop up an error window telling me to disable dual core processing. However, doing this does not fix the problems mentioned above.

I figured out what was going on here. It's a cheat parsing issue. Handling changed between 4.0-889 and 4.0-905 that introduced this stability regression. Turn off cheats and I bet ya it'll work. :)

@1 Tried that, no change. I even took it a step further and deleted the game settings folder. Confirmed codes were gone. Same result. I went further and deleted the folder containing all of dolphin user files (saves, configs, etc.) and cleaned up the registry removing dolphin related entries. Confirmed dolphin was behaving like it was being run for the first time (goodbye saves) Ran with all default settings and confirmed cheat check box was not selected. Still no change. Thanks for trying.
@2 Thanks for clarifying it. :)
