What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
In 4.0-6167 Dolphin locks up launching a Wii game with 'Real Wiimote' selected.

Pull request that caused this issue:
"Avoid deadlock when adding Wiimotes"
https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/2362

What did you expect to happen instead?
Behaviour of previous build, 4.0-6165.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open Dolphin, start emulating a Wii game. At least one Wii Remote in controllers needs to be set to 'Real Wiimote'.
  2. Dolphin will now hang/lock up. On a Mac, this is: showing a spinning beachball, nothing in the UI or Menubar will be responsive, and won't respond to quit. (cmd-q)
  3. Dolphin now needs to be force quit. (cmd-alt-escape)

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-6167.

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
The last working build was 4.0-6165.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Tested on two OSX 10.10 Yosemite. This might be a mac only issue, I am unsure at present.

Tested 4.0-6169 win64, and it appears to be ok on Windows. I did have a weird lockup when it was disconnecting wiimotes (which I thought the original PR was meant to prevent?) but otherwise it was ok. Someone needs to confirm this on Mac now.

Ok... more weird crashes. So while wii games do boot, they definitely seem less stable.

OK, loooots of crashes trying to play wii games! I think I reproduced it.
