A detailed message will be more than welcomed, anyway if so, why do older svns work?

You should try to update to 9.3...

Use OpenGL 2.1 compatible video driver.
OpenGL 2.0 and below may cause graphic glitches and do not compatible with latest
Dolphin.
You can identify the compatibility by using OpenGL Extensions Viewer.

You may try other drivers or unofficial drivers, like latest Omega 7.12.
