What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.complie any svn over 3003 on ubuntu 64bit
2.try and boot a game

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
on first double-click nothing happens nothing loads.
second double click says: ERROR: Emu Thread already running. Report this bug.
CLICKS OK
Couldn't init the core. Check your configuration.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tried on both laptop: AMD turion 64 2X w/nvidea shared mem
and desktop: Intel 64bit supported w/nvidea 8600 GT

Both worked 100% before with 2987 crash with 3003 and above
Both are Ubuntu 8.10 64bit with all updates

Please provide any additional information below.
ran from the console, didn't output anything unusual when I started program
or booted rom.
